PT Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk (IDX: INDF) reported its financial result during the first half of 2021. The Company recorded a 20% growth in consolidated sales from IDR39.38 trillion to IDR47.29 trillion. Income from operation also increased 51% yoy from IDR5.63 trillion to IDRIDR8.49 trillion. Overall, the Company successfully increased its core profit from IDR2.87 trillion to IDR3.92 trillion, representing an increase of 37%.

Anthoni Salim, the President Director and Chief Executive Officer of INDF, said: “In the current dynamic situation, Indofood has maintained consistent performance in the first semester of 2021. We will continue to remain vigilant in safeguarding our employees and maintain our competitiveness.” 

One of INDF's subsidiaries, PT Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur Tbk (IDX: ICBP) also reported an outstanding performance during H1 2021. Its net sales grew 22% yoy from IDR23.05 trillion to IDR28.2 trillion. Income from operations also increased 36% yoy from IDR4.48 trillion to IDR6.36 trillion. Aggregately, the core profit increased 25% yoy from IDR3.16 trillion to IDR3.95 trillion.

"Although the pace of the global economic recovery remains uncertain due to the continuation of the pandemic, our result for the first half of 2021 shows positive underlying operational performance. Looking forward, we will continue to focus on strengthening our operational excellence and maintaining the resilience of our integrated business model and the safety of our employees," said Anthoni Salim, the President Director and Chief Executive Officer of ICBP.

INDF share was traded at a level of IDR6,225 per share as of the last session trade on Tuesday, 24 August 2021, while ICBP was traded at a level of IDR8,225 per share. Since this year, INDF and ICBP share prices have decreased 7.69% and 14.36%.
